Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: August 24, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) protects customers, Internet users, and the systems and reputation of Western Horizon Technologies, Inc. and Lizard Hill Hosting. It applies to all services, accounts, users, and content under a customer’s control.

1. Lawful and authorized use

Services may be used only for lawful purposes. You may not use or attempt to use an account, device, network, credential, or data without authorization. Prohibited activity includes credential theft, password cracking, unauthorized scanning, exploitation, interception, impersonation, and attempts to bypass authentication or access controls.

2. Harmful and abusive activity

You may not host, distribute, facilitate, or control malware, ransomware, spyware, phishing, botnets, denial-of-service activity, cryptojacking, malicious redirects, exploit kits, stolen credentials, fraudulent services, or instructions primarily intended to compromise systems or evade security controls. Open proxies, public VPN endpoints, IRC services, traffic relays, and similar high-risk network services are prohibited unless we approve them in writing.

3. Email and messaging

Unsolicited bulk or commercial messaging is prohibited. Mailing-list recipients must have provided appropriate consent, and messages must use accurate sender information and provide a working unsubscribe method where required. Address harvesting, purchased or scraped lists, dictionary attacks, mail bombing, forged headers, and use of another provider to promote a site that violates this AUP are prohibited.

Package-specific sending limits apply. We may rate-limit, block, or suspend sending that threatens deliverability, triggers material complaint levels, appears compromised, or damages IP or domain reputation.

4. Content restrictions

You may not use the services for content or conduct that violates law; infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights; facilitates fraud; contains child sexual abuse material; unlawfully threatens or harasses others; promotes nonconsensual intimate imagery; facilitates trafficking or exploitation; or is subject to a binding removal or preservation order. Adult-content hosting is not permitted.

5. Resource use

Resource limits are stated in the applicable hosting package. You may not deliberately evade those limits or use shared hosting in a way that materially degrades service for others. We may limit processes, traffic, storage, email, database activity, scheduled tasks, or other usage when necessary to preserve platform stability and security. Sustained needs beyond a package’s limits may require an upgrade or a different service.

6. Customer and reseller responsibility

You are responsible for users, applications, scripts, and content under your account, including activity caused by compromised credentials or outdated software. You must maintain supported software, apply security updates, and respond promptly to abuse and security notices. Resellers and administrators must require their users to comply with this AUP.

7. Backups

Our backup practices are described in the Service Guarantee. Customers remain responsible for independent backups of important data. Hosting backups are not a substitute for a customer-controlled backup and disaster-recovery plan.

8. Investigation and enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may preserve or disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, systems, or network integrity. Responses may include notice, content removal, rate limiting, isolation, suspension, or termination. We will consider severity, recurrence, cooperation, and immediate risk. Urgent threats may require action without advance notice.

Customers are responsible for reasonable remediation costs caused by their violation, but we do not impose an automatic spam penalty or arbitrary punitive fee.

9. Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse, phishing, malware, or spam to support@lizardhill.com. Include the affected hostname or IP address, relevant URLs, timestamps with time zone, log excerpts, and enough detail for us to investigate. Copyright complaints should follow our DMCA Copyright Policy.

10. Changes

We may update this AUP to address new technologies, threats, laws, or network requirements. Material changes will be posted with a revised effective date.
